Mrs. Penny Swindells
Penny is the guiding director of everything we do. Now 82 years of age. Penny began her working life on the family farm in Plumtree Nottingham in 1957. At that time the Bailey family were Farmers and Butchers and Estate Agents , as were the previous generations. Penny moved to our current farm at The Dairies Brant Broughton in 1974. Penny has subsequently ran the farm and actively overseen all the family businesses as head of business , since that time.
Penny now acts as an “all seeing eye” across The world of Auctions & Palace Auctions Group.
Edward R Swindells – Partner / Auctioneer
Edward acts as Auctioneer / valuer and wider logistical and vision planner for the business. Together with overseeing the day to day operational decision making , in an effort to ensure that each step the businesses take is in line with this vision and the wider and growing objectives of the businesses.
My logistical and directional planning is built from the teaching of Penny and my late father also Edward Swindells; and is based upon every negative – has a positive side. Every time you fall over – get up stronger.

RICS and NAVA National Auctioneer of the year 3 times in 2000 , 2001 , and 2007. (only two auctioneers have ever achieved this status.
Edward was lead agent in resolving England’s largest ever settlement for a AHA (agricultural holdings act tenancy).
Also Edward was the UK government’s lead agent in resolving England’s largest case of livestock fraud and food security.

Tom Barrett – Company Director – National sales Director and sales progressor
Tom has now worked for the group for four years. Having come from a background in corporate retail sales. His uptake and speed of building understanding of the auction sales process has been excellent.
On a day to day basis Tom effectively progresses every sale for the group from the point of the deal being agreed. Right though to completion.
He is now a 10% shareholder in The world of Auctions. Company director of Palace Auctions and very much a permanent part of the family.
